Thank you! That guy was my favorite pet goldfish ever- called a Pearscale Goldfish I think. I had a little photoshoot/scanner session with him after his death. : )

Definitly a :fav: ,this one stood out the most in your gallery, the colours are great, and i really dig the composition, a little more white space above the image wouldn't be bad tough, it looks a little cropped now.
That's it for the technical part ;)
As for your idea behind it, you managed to visualize it quite well, though, to be honest, as said before, it's not recognizable without explanation, but, that's not necessary offcourse...
I quite like how you -now that's my point of view, could be totally wrong- managed to make psychological pain visible with an image of fysical pain.
Damned, my english sucks more than ever today.
What i mean, it more relates to the kind of pain that occurs when people hurt eachother with words, meanings, and all that, the girl looks physically smaked down but the fish give it a more 'psychological' (i know that's not the right word, but can't find the other) effect.

nice work :)

I'm glad that this one seemed to stike you! I would have to agree about the white space at the top- I struggled with that the most. Also I think the shoe should be shifted a little.
Your english is fine! I completly understand. In fact I think your explanation: "relates to the kind of pain that occurs when people hurt eachother with words, meanings..." and "looks physically smaked down but the fish give it a more 'psychological' effect" really describes my idea better then I've been able to do so far. Thank you!

That's alright! It's a pretty cryptic title. It's a pretty personal, and touchy subject that inspired it. I feel this image actualy fits under the catagory of art people call therapuetic! (though not in a very soothing sense.) In a broad sense, I was thinking about violence, and people that hurt others without any seeming problems with doing so. No conscience, it's baffling... using people like they own them; like a doll they can kick around for their own amusement.
As for the fish, I was hoping that using them would give that same squeamish feeling I get in my stomach thinking about these things. After I was done though, I also came to think it could symbolize whatever inside of her that was escaping.. like her soul maybe? Something beautiful gone.

Also... that's my pet fish Pustullio. He just died at the time and I wanted to immortalize him!
:floating:

Sorry for the novel.

Amazing! :boing:
But I'm very sorry that I couldn't get your idea in the title - property, and what does the fishes mean?
They are so beautiful
